Ethiopia Habitat Debre Birhan

Debre Birhan, Ethiopia – 2014. Debre Birhan is a town 130 km northeast of Addis Ababa. It has a population of about 70,000 but not much happening. The Habitat project that we visited has over 600 houses including some built for “vulnerable group families” which families in serious poverty because of illness or physical and mental disabilities. Our visit coincided with a ceremony were houses nearing completion were allocated to families.
